Single Ruin releases edgy new alt-pop single ‘Careful Now’

Brighton based producer and songwriter Single Ruin has released his fourth single to date, offering a unique sonic atmosphere through the edgy alt-pop track ‘Careful Now’. His soaring, smooth vocals are at odds with the smoldering synths and glitchy samples of the production, echoing the tormented sentiment that the lyrics convey. The release demonstrates the unbounded creativity and emotion that Single Ruins pours into his music.

Single Ruin says: “This song is about asking someone seemingly close to you if they care about you at all. I wanted the song to have a sonic edginess about it to convey a tension in the question the song is asking.”

Despite being fairly new to the scene, Single Ruin landed himself a tour support with Fickle Friends and headlined Swedish festival Solbergfestivalen. His previous releases deliver alt-pop stories of struggling relationships with innovative production, bringing a whole new dimension to seemingly simple topics. ‘Careful Now’ is the fourth single off Single Ruin’s upcoming EP ‘Unique’, which can be expected in July.
