University of Diversity Music (UDM), the genre-hopping entity from Houston, Texas, unleashed their vibrant 4-track ‘Latinidad-EP’ in 2024. This Latin Pop project, crafted with relentless dedication before the year’s end, is designed to keep energy high and listeners dancing. Though released in winter, these scorching tracks are engineered for summer 2025, aiming to dominate beach parties and solo dance sessions alike. UDM’s goal is clear: to have Latinidad-EP on replay all summer, bringing good times wherever it’s played.
Rooted in the diverse cultural tapestry of Houston, University of Diversity Music began with Hip Hop before venturing into EDM, Punk Rock, Latin Pop, and beyond. Their journey started publicly with the 2022 EP Poles Over Pedestals, followed by College Parties-EP and Poles Over Pedestals 2-EP in 2023. The year 2024 was a creative whirlwind, with releases like Halloween Halos-EP, Thanksgiving Twurkeys-EP, Latinidad-EP, and New Year, No Us-EP. In 2025, UDM has already dropped Mood Lights-EP and Giolo Steam-EP. Described as scattered and unexpected, UDM’s catalog reflects their scatter-brained, multi-persona identity, operating as a multitude of entities from a single origin. Listeners call their music all over the place, while UDM sees it as something for everybody. This genre-hopping approach avoids single-genre labeling, strategically capturing a broad audience. Growing up with diverse musical influences, UDM creates spontaneously, often unsure of a song’s direction until recording begins, sometimes working on multiple EPs simultaneously.
