The much awaited debut EP from Sleep Walking Animals has arrived, bringing an enticing collection of six folk-rock tracks. Drawing together dynamic guitar, warm vocals and nuanced percussion to create a universally appealing soundscape, Sleep Walking Animals’ eponymous record marks a strong debut from the promising group.
Speaking about their new project, Sleep Walking Animals reveal: “This is our debut EP. It’s a collection that spans across two years, from our genesis to present day. In that respect, It’s an album about growth. These are some of the first tunes we ever wrote and recorded, and there’s a lot in that. We didn’t try to force a concept or anything, each song holds a moment of birth, and they are the things that brought us and the album together”.
Based between Manchester and London, Sleep Walking Animals have spent their summer playing local festivals and venues in the capital, now set to tour the rest of the UK later in the year. With a sound that puts them on track for big things, Sleep Walking Animals are certainly ones to watch.
