Slopes shares stunning video for debut single ‘Prove Them Wrong’

There’s a new singer-songwriter that has more than announced himself in the indie/pop circles, and his name is Slopes. Already an award winning producer and one half of successful duo Skinny Days, the Norweigen has decided to go on his own path and has proven himself right already, with his captivating new single ‘Prove Them Wrong’. Alongside the track, he wanted to accompany it with a hard-hitting and quite bold video to delve into the multiple meanings behind his debut record.

It takes place first of all on a frozen lake in Oslo, where Slopes has a deep lying connection with the city’s routes and heritage. It’s a dramatic performance, which then cuts into an internal scene of a struggle within a relationship, giving the song so many levels to explore and define. We’re so glad Slopes is just getting started, and we can’t wait to see what he has in store for us next.

Slopes explains the process of filming ‘Prove Them Wrong’:

“Divers sawed a big hole in the ice and I had to jump in and climb out fifteen times before we got the shot,” he smiles. “As you might expect I was excruciatingly cold, but I’m a competitive person and with the adrenaline rushing and all those people watching, I actually enjoyed every second of it.”
