Sophie Kilburn has revealed her debut EP My Room Made Public, marking an impactful arrival onto the indie-pop scene. With an old-school rock flare and rhythmic guitars, Sophie’s edgy sound sees her deliver infectious hooks with authentic delivery. Her lyrics delve boldly into deeply personal experiences and ask introspective questions, showcasing songwriting talents which will resonate with fans of every genre.

Discussing her new record, Sophie reveals: “With My Room Made Public, I wanted to create a body of work that is an emotionally open and honest introduction to me as an artist and the songs I write. It is chapter one of what I  hope will become a classic trilogy. At the end of the day, I just want to bring emotional comfort and make people want to fight for what they want out of life, find themselves in their own way and to never settle for something that hurts them. I guess I am trying to do that for myself too  but there is always strength in numbers.”

Having received support from the likes of Clash, Complex, BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio and Mahogany, Sophie Kilburn is being hailed as ‘one to watch’. The Derbyshire based singer-songwriter has been making waves with her brand of indie power anthems which are fuelled by her storytelling lyrics. With a big future lying ahead of her, Sophie Kilburn is off to a strong start with her first EP My Room Made Public.
