SOPHIE shares blinding video for new song ‘Ponyboy’

SOPHIE has unleashed her new song and video, ‘Ponyboy‘.

The new track is an onslaught of blistering bass hits and shearing metallic rhythms complimented by SNM themed lyrics ducking in between the madness. The new cut celebrates SOPHIE’s darker side and steps drastically away from the angelic style of her most recent single, ‘It’s Okay To Cry‘.

The visuals for ‘Ponyboy‘, which were shot as part of Red Bull Music Academy’s LA Festival Open Beta Series, see SOPHIE perform amidst blinding strobe lights alongside the duo FlucT (Monica Mirabile and Sigrid Lauren) who choreographed the piece. Watch below.

SOPHIE released her last record, PRODUCT, back in 2015 but since then has featured on a number of songs by Lunice and Cashmere Cat and has produced music for Vince Staples, Charli XCX, MØ, and others.
