Born and raised in Kabwe of Central Province, Frank Ro is a Zambian based artist whose musical journey started in 2012.
Having grown up a Church boy, his motivation to do music came from Deliverance Church where he served as a drummer.
This passion saw him playing for award winning jazz band Afro Red, for six years as well as assisting other prominent Zambian Bands and artists in the same capacity.
His love for music was better expressed through singing after joining the youth choir; thus he embarked on a journey to improve his writing and vocal delivery so as to extend his musicianship beyond drumming.
‘Sotambe’ begins with an epic and stirring soundscape that leads to gentler soulful vocals and vibrant catchy beats from the Zambian artist, as he showcases his unrivalled artistry alongside Yo Maps.
His debut single titled ‘Closer,’ an afro-beat tune was released in 2019, shortly after which he released another afro-beat single ‘Sibajailika.’
In 2020, he dropped his hit song ‘Reason,’ which featured Zambia’s Hip Hop Star MK Macky 2.
His talent and dedication to music is something to look forward to from this rising star.
