Hailing from Liverpool, STR^NGE have begun to make a name across their hometown, selling out venues such as The Jacaranda and The Kazimier. Pushing their sound forward as they continue to bend definitions of genre to their will, high-energy atmospheres are a staple of their sheer infectiousness.
STR^NGE’s latest release is ‘Gal Gadot’s Vertigo Overthrow’, a mighty new single brimming with unstoppable energy across the instrumentation. Screaming electric guitars open the door for a lively drum line, with the two attitudes of playful bounce and atmospheric cloudiness pushing against each other from start to finish. The layers of vocals are almost chant-like, giving them a charming singalong quality and a tongue-in-cheek individuality. The track is boisterous, but it’s certainly a beaming cheeky smile on its face.
Reflecting on their journey, the band shares, “The single is a follow up to their previous EP Let’s Leave the Greyhounds in the Slips and is part of an upcoming EP. We’ve fleshed out our sound and experimented much more in the studio.
The EP itself when it’s released is a departure from our previous sound into different styles which we hope will come across to the listener.”
