‘Surrender’ begins with a stirring melody and then TONICA proceed to deliver energetic vocals

Manchester duo TONICA reveal their infectious new Summer single ‘Surrender’, an 80s inspired injection of pop-facing electronica with a darker edge.

The duo of singer/guitarist Amory and producer-instrumentalist Sam are opening a new chapter of alternative pop with their synth flavoured discotheque beats and euphoric, hook-heavy sound.

‘Surrender’ begins with a stirring melody and then TONICA delivers energetic vocals as the mood of the track switches over to captivating beats with melodic hooks that grab our attention at every turn.

With a vibrant chorus of shimmery guitars, pulsating synths and soaring vocals that guide an addictive pop melody, ‘Surrender’ is drenched in 80s influences from The Cure to Depeche Mode, while combining them musically with the modern alt-pop of PVRIS and The Weeknd.
