The Covasettes have been making multiple memorable appearances across the UK, notably finding themselves on the main stage of Truck Festivals and sharing the stage with Two Door Cinema Club, Sundara Karma and The Sherlocks. Alongside their monumental live rise, the Manchester four-piece has received national radio play on Radio 1 and Radio X, as well as seen support from BBC Introducing and XS Manchester.
The Covasettes latest release is the vivid dreaminess of ‘Love In Polaroid’, the single drenched in the glowing indie-pop summer feelings that never fail to brighten a dark day. From the bright and breezy guitar licks to the understated synth sparkles to the chorus of vocals lifting you up to the clouds, everything is put in place to make this track an anthem of love. A crisp, honest essence pours out from the track, truly built to be sung along to.
The band share their inspiration, “It’s almost as if when the clocks go back, something within this band chimes and all of a sudden we come alive. We were born to make songs to drive along to on a hot summer day with your pals and this song is ready to do all the above and more.
It’s a really fun song about the initial stages of dating someone and getting into a relationship where everything feels so fresh, exciting and almost dream-like. I tried to encapsulate that feeling in a sense where it’s like nothing can do wrong for you, that’s how I want people to feel when they listen to it.”
