The Fur Returns with New Christmas Track ‘Miracle X’

The Fur has had quite a different introduction to music than others. The Swedish Grammy-nominated artist and producer is  known for his work as a classical musician, but he is now becoming recognised for his keen songwriting in the pop and R&B world. While The Fur may be a more commercial endeavour, it is clear that his musical talent transcends common genres.

Having already amounted a healthy number of streams online, new Christmas single featuring GET UP Soul Choir – Miracle X offers a new perspective on the project, while maintaining its integrity on a production level. The song was intended to be a Christmas re-work of the original track, titled ‘Miracle’ out earlier this month, which inspired by the Goliath’s of that world such as Mary J Blige and Michael Jackson. Due to the natural festive feeling of the song, they reworked it with a Gospel feel in Baggpipe Studios, Sweden. The ensemble certainly seem to have hit the mark on this one.

On the track, The Fur says:
“I felt that you could do something more Christmassy with the original song. To simply make a good contribution to Christmas music. You get really tired of all the commercial Christmas music that is played everywhere. Miracle has a Christmassy message where you ask for a miracle, but it doesn’t sound like a typical Christmas song. It feels like a song you can imagine listening to at Christmas, but it stands out a little from the crowd.”

Miracle X is available to stream from today on your digital streaming platform of choice, and will be accompanied by a music video soon. Listen below!
