Listen Here – Out Now!
After several intriguing glimpses over the years, Mexican band Ostinatos presents their debut album, ‘Inmarcesible‘. In tune with their synth and dream pop soundscape, this album embodies an optimistic portrait of the band’s introspective and emotional world, showcasing the stages of a journey toward self-awareness and personal growth. Recorded under the direction of talented producer Odin Parada at Rec4 Studios, the project represents a lasting creative expression, emerging despite limited resources. The band recalls the recording process as a magical and cyclical time, with moments of fluid progress and slower, patient ones, ideal for getting lost in. Each track contains powerful lyrics that invite the listener to shift perspectives. Some standout lines include: “It’s time to fall in love with time” (Limerencia) // “Who can claim to be self-confident, when even beauty is doomed to pass?” (Inmarcesible). This 9-track album, which includes a cover of David Bowie’s ‘Ashes to Ashes’ sung in Spanish, was entirely self-produced, including the creation of the accompanying music videos, showcasing the group’s pure talent and persistent motivation. This June, let yourself be swept away by the hypnotic and introspective world of Ostinatos’ ‘Inmarcesible’.
Originally from Mexico City, Los Ostinatos are a genre-blurring band born from those long teenage afternoons sharing records and discovering music. Blending atmospheric textures with existential undertones, Ostinatos intertwines elements of synthwave, dream pop, shoegaze, trip-hop, lo-fi, psychedelia, and electro-pop. Their music is profound, cinematic, and personal: a truly hypnotic combination. Entirely self-produced in their early days, they released their first single, ‘Limerencia’, in 2019, followed by a surreal stop-motion video. The project took shape in 2021, when they traveled to Guadalajara to record with Odin Parada at Rec4 studio. For Ostinatos, music is more than an expression: it’s a constant pulse, a ritual, a pattern that repeats itself throughout all stages of life. Hypnotic, meditative, and deeply addictive, you won’t regret getting to know Ostinatos.
