Thicke in trouble again

Robin Thicke is being investigated for child abuse, according to reports.

The Blurred Lines singer is allegedly being investigated over a custody battle over his 6-year-old son Julian.

According to TMZ, Thicke’s ex-wife Paula Patton – who divorced the singer in 2015 citing infidelity on her husband’s part – filed an emergency court request to restrict Thicke’s contact with Julian, after the boy apparently told his school he had been assaulted by his father.

Thicke has responded in a legal filing: “On a very rare occasion and only as a last resort, I will use light spanking, but it is consistent with the law – open hand on the butt. This is the type of discipline to which Paula and I agreed during our marriage.”

Patton’s request for restricted access has reportedly thus far denied.

Thicke was in trouble again recently with the family of Marvin Gaye for allegedly lifting Blurred Lines from the late singer’s Got To Give It Up. Although ordered to pay out for plagiarism, the verdict was challenged by a number of artists arguing that the ruling would set a precedent in punishing songwriters for creating new music inspired by prior works.
