Thomas Heppell releases picturesque self-titled album

After making his debut with the ‘Be My Home’ EP in 2022, and teasing a release with singles ‘Underdog’ and ‘Hey Victoria’, Thomas Heppell is back with his self-titled debut album. The Berkshire-based artist has brought his life experiences to each track, whilst keeping a fundamental homage to blues and its legacy. Ranging from energised to solemn, Thomas captures all his emotions in vibrant musicality, with his band of Jack Bryant on drums and Howard Head on bass supporting every moment.

Thomas adds, “The album is about the blues at its core, with bits going out into different genres, such as country, rock and jazz. The songs go from situations about love to painful lows, with the intention of connecting to the listener and healing inside of them. These are the stories of Thomas Heppell”.

Bringing together the heritage of blues, rock and roll and jazz, Thomas Heppell’s career has seen him grace the stages alongside the likes of Anton du Beke, Robin Bibi, and Mike Mayfield, performing in venues and as part of festivals such as he Tuesday Night Club in London, Lincoln Jazz Cafe, Broadstairs Blues Bash, Swanage Blues Festival, and Weyfest. He’s received support from Jazz FM and Blues Radio UK, been nominated for multiple categories at the UK Blues Awards 2023 and is now being picked up in the press.

The album is out now, give it a listen below:
