Ahead of this Friday’s release of her new EP ‘In My Nature’, rising Scottish indie-folk artist Rosie H Sullivan releases one final single in the shape of ‘Timeless’.

‘Timeless’ begins with an upbeat and pleasant guitar arrangement and then Rosie H Sullivan adds her beautiful and dreamy vocals to the heartfelt song.

Encapsulating the true essence of Rosie’s adoration for Scotland, ‘Timeless’ embraces you with its vulnerable guitar all the way until the bridge where it opens up with layers of lush strings and vocals accompanied by a moving spoken word from Scottish kayaking pioneer, the late Hamish Gow.

Rosie explains how “In his final years, Hamish Gow, a close friend of my father’s passed onto us some old cinefilm that showed them kayaking around Scottish islands in the 1960s.

This was created into a film, which Hamish narrated over, recalling the adventures of his youth.

Part of this recording now sits nestled within the bridge of ‘Timeless’.

It’s a big moment for me, and my family to have Hamish’s voice out there, and never forgotten.”

It’s an ode to her love for the highlands of Scotland drawing similarities to the stylistics of artists like Feist, Phoebe Bridgers and super group Boygenius.

Rosie further explains “It is in my nature to write these words and songs and hold them in my heart, I’ll also be found, never too far from nature, in any case, by a stream, in the woods, in the long grass, by the sea.”

Her vision is crystal clear, and the natural-born storyteller abilities have never vibrated stronger than in this moment.

“This is me, and it has been since I came to be and will continue to be for as long as I live.”
