After establishing his name in the music space as a performer and creative voice of internationally touring indie bands, as well as receiving opportunities to produce and write music for soundtracks of national TV/major films, Orlando musician Matthew Tonner is turning a new page in his musical journey, gearing up for the release of his debut EP Whispers In The Dark under his newly-formed alias, Tonner.
The leading single off his imminent EP comes in the form of smooth vibe ‘Criminal’, and is co-produced with Jordan Shih of the successful indie band SALES. Tonner and SALES have actually toured together in the past, as one of Tonner’s previous bands had supported the duo on a short east coast run. Vulnerable and lush, ‘Criminal’ is a showcase of smooth chords, subtle synth-work, and washed-out guitar melodies, all under Tonner’s emphatic vocal performance, making up for a masterful pop-indie vibe.
