Toronto rising star Patrik Kabongo has released his single ‘98 Degrees’, taken from his hot new project The High End Pack. Over bouncing bass and kinetic hip-hop beats, Patrik delivers infectious melodies and a smooth rap flow. Although it eludes major dance vibes, ‘98 Degrees’ veers away from a typical tropical groove and towards jangly samples as Patrik crafts a dark and original soundscape. He says of the track: “I wanted to create a high tempo song for the summer. Something that would have the blended energy of heavy trap bass and Lil Mama’s ‘Lip Gloss’.”
