Tune-Yards delivers bouncy new track ‘ABC 123’

Recently, Merrill Garbus aka Tune-Yards announced her long-awaited return with new track Look At Your Hands along with details of a new album coming in January. Now she has released the second taster of the new album in the form of ‘ABC 123′.

It’s not a cover of the Jackson 5 classic ‘ABC‘, but it does come close to that song’s level of infectiousness, with Garbus producing one of her most unabashedly peppy songs to date, replete with house-like propulsion and her own unmistakably joyous vocal ejaculations. It’s the kind of track that pushes her sound into slightly new realms, but will still keep long-time fans very happy, as her radiant personality still shines out – despite the less than positive lyrical imagery of destruction.

Both ‘ABC 123‘ and ‘Look At Your Hands‘ are taken from the upcoming album I can feel you creep into my private life, set to be released on 19th January through 4AD.
