Four-piece Twin City comprise of Welsh brother Louis and Toby Ellis, taking on vocals/guitar and drums respectively, and are joined by Conor Feeney on bass and Pete Refson on guitar. Their classic rock and roll laced with indie sensibility sound gave them an exciting debut that saw BBC Introducing, radio and YouTube views all take an interest, going on to sell out Bristol’s Trinity Centre and appear at the Isle of Wight Festival 2023.
Twin City are back with a new single entitled ‘Solid Gold’, with their use and thick, distorted guitars creating rebellious backdrop to the passionate vocal lines. The lead is heartfelt and powerful, elevated by the airy, rich harmonies that lie underneath it in the chorus. Drums and bass provide a driving foundation, with the energy being consistently at maximum capacity. Underneath this aggressiveness in performance, lies a glimmer of hope and positivity shining through in the lyricism, making the track a motivating anthem.
The band share, “Solid Gold is a no-nonsense rock n roll tune with a message of positivity and self belief. We all shine brighter when we’re free to be ourselves, so the song is about being who you are unapologetically and doing what you want with your life.”
