UK based metal giants team up in support of crew and tech experts in the wake of COVID

UK Metal Merger are best described as the supergroup you need in your life to get through the last few hurdles of the UK’s lockdown. A collective that sees the coming together of some of UK rock and metal’s most celebrated names to support individuals who have seen their livelihoods devastated by the effect of COVID on the live music industry. Teaming up to release breathtaking new single ‘In Solitude’, the track aims to highlight the severity that COVID has impacted on the industry. We all know how much it’s devastated musicians and artists, but this track also details the impact for roadies, sound engineers, drivers and venue staff too.

Motivated by their love for the industry, members of Cradle of Filth, My Dying Bride, Iced Earth, Winterfylleth, Kill II This, Xentrix, Divine Chaos, Krysthla and Pythia all teamed up, remotely, to write and record their powerful new single. Coated with progressive guitar tones that will leave you sympathising even more on the whole deal, ‘In Solitude’ reflects on how tough the past year has been for the world while still holding onto hope for the future. The supergroup are raising money for PSA Welfare & Benevolent Fund – which helps live production crew to survive in times of hardship, and you can find the link to that here.
