Valkitaar unleashes ‘What Lies Beneath (Deluxe Edition)’ – a brutal, grooving dive into life’s dark realities

Listen Here – Out Now!

Valkitaar, the one-man metal machine from Youngstown, Ohio, has officially dropped his powerful new album, ‘What Lies Beneath (Deluxe Edition)‘, a 15-track juggernaut that dives deep into the harsh realities of adulthood, internal struggle, and the resilience to keep pushing forward. Blending metalcore fury, nu-metal grit, and a surprising danceable groove, this release is raw, real, and ready to shake your core.

Featuring the re-release of the fan-favorite single from 2024, Track #5 delivers a groove-laced, guitar-heavy experience with an almost rave-like pulse—played through walls of distortion. Inspired by the sudden realization that growing up is far from easy, Valkitaar delivers a message loud and clear: use your time wisely, because you don’t get a second shot. With vocals recorded overseas by session vocalist James (UK) and all instruments written, arranged, and produced by Valkitaar himself in his parent’s basement, this is DIY metal at its most determined.

“Everything you hear—from the drums to the double guitars and bass—was built from scratch,” says Valkitaar. “No label. No ghostwriters. No studios. Just passion, pain, and persistence.”

The Deluxe Edition of What Lies Beneath marks Valkitaar’s second full-length release following his debut album Mother Cries, and it signals massive growth. With 1,800+ YouTube subscribers, 3,000 TikTok followers, and no paid promotion or live shows to date, Valkitaar is forging his path the hard way—digitally, independently, and unapologetically. A musical collage of brutality and emotion, the album pays homage to influences like Slipknot, Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, and Disturbed, while incorporating orchestral elements, acoustic breaks, heavy FX, and modern metalcore dynamics. It’s unpredictable by design, reflective of Valkitaar’s belief in calling life as it is—messy, dark, but worth every second.

“Valkitaar was created to sonically represent the struggles of life—how we suffer, adapt, and move forward despite the weight we carry,” he shares. “It’s about normalism. Truth. Grit. Be your own person, and don’t back down.” With more experimental singles and a self-titled album in the early stages, Valkitaar’s mission is clear: stay independent, stay loud, and keep pushing musical boundaries.
