Watch Bon Iver perform a stripped back rendition of ‘Babys’

Footage has emerged of Bon Iver performing a stripped back version of ‘Babys’.

The song, lifted from early EP ‘Bloodbank’, sees frontman Justin Vernon team up with long-time collaborator Sean Carey.

The new video shows the duo playing a bare-bones version of ‘Babys’ with just a looping piano melody, vocals, and a couple of haunting harmonies.

The collaboration was filmed after Bon Iver’s performance and DJ set at Michelberger Music last year. The event, curated by Vernon and Aaron and Bryce Dessner of The National, helps artists come together for performances, workshops and collaborations.

Bon Iver recently cancelled  their upcoming European tour for recent album 22, A Million. The band broke the news on Twitter with an apologetic note to fans that cited “personal reasons” for the cancellations. The shows affected include five sold-out nights in London. No dates have been rescheduled but they have promised to return.
