James Blunt has set up a support group for fans of his music

In the ad for his new album, James Blunt sets up a support group for his fans.

The singer’s album, The Afterlove, was released today. This is his fifth album and the first since his 2013 Moon Landing.

Blunt is well known for his self-deprecating humour on Twitter and this is no exception. In the ad, people introduce themselves at a support group until one of the members, Claire, struggles to admit why she was there. Blunt then interjects with: “It’s okay, Claire, we’re all James Blunt fans here.” They all join hands, with Claire visibly resisting Blunt.

The video appeared on Blunt’s Twitter along with the caption “The first step is admitting it.

The singer revealed that he worked with Ed Sheeran on The Afterlove. In an interview on The One Show, the singer said: “I’ve worked with a guy you might have heard of? Ed Sheeran? We had a great trade. I was his ski instructor – I taught him how to ski. And at night he taught me how to write songs.

The pair worked together on the album and even co-wrote songs together, including ‘Make Me Better‘. Blunt has also been confirmed as the opening act for Sheeran on his upcoming US tour.
