Seattle’s Will Rainier releases new single, “To Supreme”

Seattle’s Will Rainier is preparing to release his new album, Wobble in the Moon, on the 30th of June. But you can hear his new single, “To Supreme” now. It’s an odd choice for a lead single, as it’s rather mellow and haunting. But, as singles are supposed to do, it leaves you wanting to start it back up as soon as it ends.

“To Supreme” has a feeling reminiscent of Springsteen’s “Meeting Across the River” (and not just because of the lovely trumpet work). Nothing of any significance happens in the song. But throughout the song, you’re on your toes, waiting for something to happen.

“I’ve always found solace in dark dive bars”, says Rainier. “This song is named after a bar near my house. I remember a friend saying “let’s go to Supreme” and that phrase “to Supreme” was just stuck in my head after that.”
