If Add Agency’s new record, Gemstone Radar, isn’t under your radar, it should be; especially if you’re into classics like David Bowie, LCD Soundsystem, The Doors, Michael Jackson, and Ghostland Observatory. Add Agency is a complete throwback to the 80’s, and Gemstone Radar, released this past October, is 11 tracks of great music.
Inspired by the The Rocker, a film about a fictional rock band starring Emma Stone, lead and only band member Will Mora named a standalone track ‘Emma Stone’ in honor of his muse. Then, in 2011, he began composing Gemstone Radar. As a result, Gemstone Radar became an exploration of sonic movement, and is filled to the brim with vivid musical characters and colors.
Check out Gemstone Radar and Add Agency’s new retro video for “Booty Pop”. The use of colors and lighting works well with the accompaniment. It’s everything you’d expect from an artist so inspired and invested in the 80’s and more. Check it all out, here.
