Hallelujah! Artwork for forthcoming Kanye West film ‘Jesus Is King’ revealed

Artwork unveiling set to tide fans over until album release

On Friday night, Kanye West held a surprise pop-up listening party for his forthcoming album Jesus Is King at the Fox Theatre in Detroit.

Tickets for the event were available to the general public and, testament to Kanye’s popularity, sold out within seconds.

At the event, fans were treated to a playback of Jesus Is King as well as a preview for an upcoming film of the same name.

According to wife Kim Kardashian West’s Instagram story, the film will be out next month through IMAX.

And just now, the cover art for the film has been revealed by none other than Fake Shore Drive founder, Andrew Barber.

Barber took to Twitter to share the new artwork as well as his thoughts on the new album, writing:

“Just heard Kanye’s new album Jesus Is King and saw the accompanying film. My favourite track is the last song and it features the Clipse. Both Push & No Malice. Kenny G is also on it. ‘New Body’ has been my favourite cut from the album. Here is the art:”

Less than a minute later, Barber posted another tweet about Kanye’s future work:

“Kanye also announced that he is no longer making secular music. Only Gospel from here on out.”

According to Kim Kardashian West, the album of Jesus Is King will be released tonight September 29.
