Beyoncé gives birth to twins, Jay-Z announces new album date

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have welcomed twins, according to a source close to the couple.

Matthew Knowles confirmed the birth in a tweet saying, “They’re here!#beyonce #twins #jayz #happybirthday“. There has not been any confirmation from Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s representatives.

According to the Mirror, the twins are being kept in the hospital for a “minor issue” but should be fine. The source said, “We’re told a “minor issue” surfaced, and as a result… doctors do not feel comfortable releasing them. We do not know the nature of the issue. One source told us Beyoncé also remains at the hospital, but as far as we know she’s okay. The babies are expected to be okay as well. It’s unclear when everyone will be released.”

The singer first announced her pregnancy on Instagram at the start of February.
