Bohemian Rhapsody is the second-highest grossing music biopic of all time

The Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody has made $127 million since it’s debut, solidifying it as the second biggest music biopic in U.S. history.

In its third week, the film which depicts the life of the late Queen frontman has made $15 million stateside.

Bohemian Rhapsody has outstripped 2005’s Johnny Cash biopic Walk The Line and is beaten only by 2015’s N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton, which grossed a mammoth $161 million in the US box office.

Overall, Bohemian Rhapsody has pulled in a worldwide total of $384 million – comparatively, Straight Outta Compton made just $201 million.

Rami Malek, who plays Mercury in the biopic, was recently praised for his uncanny performance reenacting Queen’s 1985 Live Aid concert.
