Brown and Soulja’s scrap called off

The hip-hop world is a little bit safer once again this morning as Chris Brown and Soulja Boy have reportedly called off their proposed boxing match.

Soulja took to Twitter to explain that the pair’s managers had spoken and cancelled the fight, organised by 50 Cent and scheduled as a 3-round Pay-Per-View in March. Brown was allegedly going to be coached by boxing legend Mike Tyson, while Soulja sought out the mentorship of Floyd Mayweather before setting on Evander Holyfield – who famously had part of his ear bitten off by Tyson in a 1997 fight.

The spat between the pair started when Soulja Boy liked a post on Instagram from Brown’s former girlfriend Karrueche Tran. A series of phone calls, Tweets and Instagram posts were exchanged between the pair before Brown challenged Soulja to the fight, which 50 Cent duly set up for the pair, originally set for Las Vegas but later rumoured to be moving to Dubai.
