This year’s team-up of Australian songwriter Courtney Barnett and Philadelphia slacker Kurt Vile has been one of the most pleasant musical surprises, and it continues to develop as the two continue to support their album Lotta Sea Lice.
The goofy twosome recently stopped off at NPR to become the latest to perform as part of their beloved Tiny Desk Concert series. The pair become even more lovable in this quaint surrounding, as they rip through a number of stripped-down versions of songs from Lotta Sea Lice, including ‘Over Everything‘, ‘Continental Breakfast‘, ‘Blue Cheese‘ and ‘Let It Go‘. This performance only puts a sharper point on the frustration that Courtney and Kurt have not yet announced plans to bring their combined performing prowess to Europe. Here’s hoping that changes in the new year.
