Courtney Love revealed her favourite Nirvana songs during an Instagram Live session last night.
The Hole singer, who is the widow of the iconic band’s frontman Kurt Cobain, regularly uses the social media’s live platform to interact with fans, often taking part in Q&A’s with her followers.
Last night’s session even drew attention from American Horror Story actress Sarah Paulson, who hailed Love as a ‘true genius‘ in a comment.
Love responded to a number of questions from her fans that had tuned into the stream around 9pm last night. One follower asked what her favourite Nirvana song is, to which she responded firstly with ‘Heart-Shaped Box‘– a song which she once told Lana Del Rey was ‘about my vagina‘.
Love also revealed that the Nirvana songs ‘Serve The Servants‘ and ‘Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge On Seattle‘ and ‘In Bloom‘ also ranked high in her estimation.
Love and Del Rey, who are now close friends, recently interviewed one another to discuss their love of each other’s music.
I think my very, very favourite song of yours – you’re not gonna like this because it’s early – is ‘Blue Jeans’,” Love told Del Rey. “I mean, [the lyric]: ‘You’re so fresh to death and sick as ca-cancer‘? Who does that?”
