Dave Grohl has been spotted on set shooting a movie about his life.
Several fans scoped the Foo Fighters frontman filming in Los Angeles and were quick to take to Twitter to document the sightings.
One fan noticed the star on his flight, while another got a snap with him outside his old high school.
Just got on plane to LAX. Guy with a gentle zen vibe quietly sits in seat next to me. Seems very nice. I’m happy, clearly not a chatterbox with braying opinions about politics or cable tv shows. Will be nice, quiet flight. I take a second look. HOLY CRAP! It’s Dave Grohl!

Went outside to investigate a film crew on campus only to discover that it was Dave Grohl from @foofighters who went to AHS and whose mother was an English teacher at AHS. What a treat! Go Atoms!! pic.twitter.com/bPq5WQcFeF

The film is set to follow the multi-talented musician’s career, from his time in bands Scream, Nirvana and the Foo Fighters.
Details about the upcoming film have been few and far between, but the musician’s mother, Virginia Hanlon Grohl, hinted to the Sydney Morning Herald that it may involve his older sister Lisa, and her influence on his music taste: “She was the one that introduced him to her musical tastes [punk rock], when she was a teenager and I was worried that she would feel left out, that her life hadn’t been quite so special.”
“She always said she would never want people to know her name. She didn’t like people coming up to her and saying: ‘Are you Dave’s sister?’”
Recently, Grohl said that he wants Shelley Duvall of The Shining fame to play him in a Foo Fighters film.
