During an interview with DJ Semtex, Drake called Kanye West for comments he made during a show in November.
The interview was for the Beats 1 show OVO Sound. There was speculation the rappers could be releasing music together. However, the interview suggests otherwise.
Drake claimed that Kanye was upset when he was left off of Drake’s fourth studio album Views. Kanye and Jay-Z collaborated with Drake on the track ‘Pop Style’ but their contribution was cut short. Apparently upset by this, Kanye went on to say Drake and DJ Khaled’s ‘For Free’ had been overplayed.
Drake said “I don’t know, I think everybody has their own little things going on, I’m not really sure what he’s referring to half the time, because in the same breath, I went from being… like working on a project with him, to him sorta publicly shitting on me and DJ Khaled for being on the radio too much.”
