Exclusive Premiere: Rising Pop Star Ryan Brown Releases “Carousel”

This upbeat tune ‘Carousel‘ is a metaphor comparing relationships to a ride on a carousel. The whirlwind of emotions and excitement that comes with entering a new relationship. Until you inevitably have to face the ups and downs that come with being intertwined with someone else. Then comes the rude reminder that eventually every ride has its end. Ryan addresses her naivety in her past relationships, singing, ‘I hoped that we could beat the cycle/ I hoped we’d never change.’ Even after everything she’s been through, there is still hope as she claims, ‘Someday I’ll find someone and we’ll ride this carousel.’

Growing up in Marlton, NJ, Ryan has worked with unfinished songs of the massively talented late Christina Grimmie. She finds comfort in knowing Christina’s work will live on through her own music. “I am from Marlton, NJ. Not only were most of my songs inspired by people here, but this town connected me to the Grimmie family and gave me the wonderful experience of working with them. I’m very grateful for where I live and have grown up.”

Ryan has performed at countless events, including The Sound Mind Network Music Festival featuring superstars Kevin Bacon and Michael Bacon of the Bacon Brothers, Johnny Showcase of America’s Got Talent, viral TikTok musicians Cory Singer and ElectraQueens, and celebrity chef Tony Luke Jr. Ryan bhas also been seen singing the National Anthem for The Baltimore Ravens, The Baltmore Orioles, The Cincinnati Reds, and will be performing the Anthem for the Boston Red Sox on July 9th.

At the young age of 17 years old, Ryan has proven to be an old soul as she writes authentically about the highs and lows of teenage life. Ryan pulls her inspiration from the unfortunate experiences in her life and this song is no exception. Her graphic lyrics allow the audience to picture the scene while allowing the raw emotion to come through. Reminiscent of Olivia Rodgrigo’s debut album ‘Sour,’  Ryan does not sugar coat her life, but tells real stories and the wisdom she has learned along the way. While the song has meaningful lyrics,Carousel’ is upbeat with beautiful production and a classic pop sound, making the single a perfect combination of catchy and eloquent.

Ryan’s music showcases the depth and vulnerability in being a teenager, and explores the ups and downs that people of all ages experience. Aside from her love for singing, Brown also enjoys playing guitar, piano, and ukulele.

Brown feels so incredibly lucky that she can share her experiences with the world. She hopes while you listen to her music, you find comfort in knowing that you aren’t alone. Ryan shares, “My music always comes from a place of sadness because I love to turn something bad into something beautiful. I write my music because I know others feel the way I do. At the core is authenticity.”
