Fat White Family have responded to the controversial and racist remarks used in an online post, saying they were parodying “the disgusting racists that run this country”.
The South London band, formed by brothers Lias and Nathan Saoudi, who are both of Algerian descent, recently criticised and mocked Boris Johnson on Twitter and Facebook. Johnson recently said that the municipality of Sirte could become “the next Dubai” stating: “the only thing they’ve got to do is clear the dead bodies away and then they’ll be there”.
Referencing Boris’ comments, albeit sarcastically, the band’s social media posts read: “Only a peppering of sand n****r carcasses to shift and we’ve got ourselves a new Dubai gentlemen! Onwards!!!”
Fat White Family have since deleted the post on Facebook but their Twitter post still remains. See below.

Following the remarks, Pitchfork reported on the story which prompted the band to hit back at the publication explaining why they had deleted the previous post defending their original comments. See their response below.
The band released their debut album, Champagne Holocaust, back in 2013 which was followed up with their Songs for Our Mothers last year.
