In the wake of George Michael’s untimely passing, his legacy is already being uncovered; a secret string of acts of extreme generosity and kindness.
Among the ever-increasing charitable organisations and individuals the late singer is said to have helped is Childline, whose founder Esther Rantzen has told the Press Association that the singer had secretly donated millions to the children’s charity over the years.
Said Rantzen: “For years now he has been the most extraordinarily generous philanthropist, giving money to Childline, but he was determined not to make his generosity public so no-one outside the charity knew how much he gave to the nation’s most vulnerable children.”
In another act of astounding compassion, Michael reportedly gave a losing ‘Deal or No Deal’ contestant the £15,000 she desperately needed for IVF treatment, according to presenter Richard Osman.
The singer’s management confirmed the cause of death as heart failure.
