Grace Ackerman releases powerful debut EP ‘Wrong From Right’

25 year old Watford based Grace Ackerman, is the former lead singer of UK Pop / Folk band ‘Chasing Grace’ (Island Records/Sony ATV) and has spent the last year releasing a handful of singles now under her own name, but her first body of work (‘Wrong From Right‘ EP) is set for release this Friday.

‘Wrong From Right’ is a collection of songs mainly written about an important moment of self-reflection. It covers aspects such as arguments with people you love, addictions, obsessions and learning to love yourself and trying not to focus on unimportant flaws that you may have had in the past.

‘Me’ delivers Breath taking instrumentals, upbeat vocals and poignant lyrics.

‘Frozen’ has more of a sombre feel to it and the slower tempo utilised by the instrumental melody helps convey the emotions that the lyrics deliver.

‘Insecurities’ begins with a similar musical vibe to Frozen but then transitions into something a little more upbeat before switching back and forth in terms of tempo.

The closing track (‘Blame’) on Grace’s debut EP showcases powerful vocals and a catchy melody, this gives the song somewhat of an anthemic vibe.

She released a cover of Jessie Ware’s ‘Wildest Moments’ last Wednesday as part of FrtyFve Records’ Turn Her Up campaign, highlighting the imbalance of women within the music industry.

Her previous releases have racked up over 3.5million worldwide streams on Spotify alone, having been featured on New Music Friday playlists across Europe.

She has also been featured on editorial playlists such as ‘Best New Pop’, ‘Sad Songs’, and ‘Mellow Pop’, to name but a few.
