The Great Escape reveals first names for 2018, along with London showcases

Brighton’s The Great Escape has come to be known as the UK’s answer to SXSW; it being a city-centric festival across many smaller bar and club type venues, giving the spotlight to up-and-coming acts. Between 17-19 May, 2018 The Great Escape will be returning for the 13th addition, and today they have unveiled the first 50 acts that will feature on this year’s bill. It includes the likes of Bad Gyal, Hotel Lux, Katie Von Schleicher, King Nun, Stereo Honey, The Orielles and many more.

In addition to those names, The Great Escape has announced plans to showcase many of these acts in their new FIRST FIFTY side-festival, taking place in intimate East London venues for £5 a ticket between 21-23 May. You can find out more about that here.
