Father John Misty has shared a country rendition of his politically charged track ‘Pure Comedy‘, titled ‘Pure Country‘.
The new version of the track features country-style vocals and music and has been praised in the YouTube comments section.
“This is way better than it has any right to be”, one user wrote prompting another to reply with: “I didn’t even I needed this until now.” Another user added: “I love how it kinda gives a (even more) sarcastic tone to the song.” Some are even calling for a country take on the entire album. Father John Misty’s third studio album, Pure Comedy, was released earlier this year and came as a response to the chaos of modern day life addressing Donald Trump, gender inequality and organised religion.
