Hop Along release first ever music video for new track ‘How Simple’

Hop Along have released a video for their new track ‘How Simple’, taken from their highly anticipated new album, Bark Your Head Off, Dog.

The track’s playful and energising beat is met with layered vocal tracks and intimate verses as viewers explore the secret world they’ve created in their apartment. The new video – directed by Derrick Belcham – marks their first official music video for the album and the only visuals to have been released by the band to date.

Reflecting on their new video, frontwoman Frances Quinlan shared: “this is my first time appearing in a music video; I decided to do something that felt risky to me…I told myself that I’ve danced through my own house solo enough times to do an alright job of it in front of a camera.” As the dreamy visuals unfold throughout the track, viewers follow Quinlan as she bounces through her apartment and explores the secret spaces of her mind.

The Philly indie-rock band is made up of vocalist, songwriter and rhythm guitarist Frances Quinlan, bass player Tyler Long, guitarist Joe Reinhart and drummer Mark Quinlan. Self-produced by guitarist Joe and Kyle Pulley and recorded in their local studio, The Headroom, the transformative nine-song collection is the band’s strongest and most refined album to date, delving into their past misguided perceptions and what remains once they’ve disappeared.

Hop Along will be announcing dates for their spring US tour this year, as well as UK and European dates for later in 2018.
