Imagine Dragons are now worse than Nickleback, says Slipknot’s Corey Taylor

Time to breathe a sigh of relief, NicklebackSlipknot have spoken, and you’re no longer the world’s most hated band.

While guesting on Jonesy’s Jukebox, a radio show hosted by Steve Jones of Sex Pistols fame, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor said that after years of being ridiculed, Nickelback is “passing the baton” on to pop-rock band Imagine Dragons – and he’s here for it.

“They’re awful, so that’s cool,” Taylor said of Imagine Dragons, “And they’re from Vegas, so I’m gonna go home to protests. Can’t show my face in this town now. Yeah, people are slowly coming back to appreciate Nickelback and then just turning their irksome ire toward Imagine Dragons.”

Taylor’s dig is the latest in a long-running feud between Taylor and Nickleback frontman Chad Kroeger.

It all started in 2002 when Taylor described Nickleback as a bunch of “fucking pretty boys” and describing Chad as “Shaggy from Scooby-Doo”.

Kroeger hit back by asking how Slipknot’s music could be good when “you’ve got to beat each other up onstage, throw up in your own masks every night?”, going on to describe Stone Sour, Taylor’s side-project as “Nickelback lite”.

In other news, laundry man to the stars Hans-Jürgen Topf recently revealed that Slipknot have the grossest clothes in showbiz – yikes!
