Indie-pop duo Ships Have Sailed release upbeat new single ‘Take My Money’

Rising indie-pop duo Ships Have Sailed have released their euphoric new single ‘Take My Money’, guided by uplifting melodies and dynamic percussion. Funk influences are woven into the buoyant indie-pop track, which was produced by Will Carpenter and Dan Sadin. This is a track which indicates the band’s huge potential.

The duo said of their new release: “‘Take My Money’ is a somewhat tongue-in-cheek reaction to our ever connected world where devices and the apps on them seem to run our lives more and more every day, influencing our decisions and our thought patterns. It presents itself as a slightly vapid pop jingle, but dig a little deeper and you’ll find some irony, some humor, and maybe a cautionary tale or two.”

Since the release of their debut album ‘Moodswings’ in 2015, Ships Have Sailed have received support from the likes of Earmilk, Euphoria, Eclectic Music Lover, LADYGUNN, and Paste. They’ve also earned national radio support throughout the U.S. from stations such as KROQ & KYSR (Los Angeles), KFRR (Fresno), KX-FM (Laguna Beach), WLKK (Buffalo), KRXP (Colorado), WQMP (Orlando), WSFS (Miami), WRXL (Richmond), XTRA (San Diego), WBOS (Boston), WKQX (Chicago), WPOI (Honolulu), SiriusXM The Pulse and many more.
