Jas Patrick’s Americana

If you’re in the mood for some genuine bluesy Americana, then you’ve got to check out Nashville’s Jas Patrick’s new album, Inky Ovine. It released September 25, 2015, and is 6 tracks of amazing sound. The album was in pre-production for two years as Patrick obtained the proper equipment and software to ensure the best quality possible.

When it comes to this genre, Patrick is about as authentic, stripped right down to the bone, as they come. What makes him so unique? He makes Americana his own by bringing in touches of British rock, making his sound utterly iconoclastic sound. He is akin to Gary Clark, Jr, Black Pistol Fire, Patrick Sweany, and The Black Keys.

It also helps that Patrick has been making music since the ripe old age of 4, when he began drumming. This set him on a steady path, and by 18 he was on the road touring. Now, he owns Tiny Lion Records: a label he runs alongside his wife.

There is something truly potent about Inky Ovine and Jas Patrick. Within this album, Patrick demonstrates that he truly understands the spirit of music, and merely wants to share it with the world. Inky Ovine is a triumph.
