Kanye West delays release of new album Jesus Is King to Sunday, announces updated tracklist and IMAX film

According to Kim Kardashian West, Kanye West’s new album Jesus Is King will be released on Sunday, September 29.

The news was reported by Kim via Instagram, following a surprise pop-up listening party of the new album for fans, held at the Fox Theatre in Detroit Friday evening.

“Kanye’s doing a listening session in Chicago tomorrow, then NYC Sunday,” she said. “He’s dropping the album Sunday. Just a few final tweaks to the mixes.”

In addition to the new release date, Kim also announced an amended tracklist for her husband’s album, as well as a forthcoming IMAX film entitled Jesus Is Lord.

The film, directed by British filmmaker Nick Knight, will feature gospel performances by Kanye’s Sunday Service Choir and is slated for release next month.
