Katy Perry has been named 2018’s highest-paid woman in music by business magazine, Forbes.
The singer has risen from 9th place in 2017, beating out Beyoncé and Taylor Swift for the lists top spot.
The 34-year-old singer earned £64.7m ($83m) between June 2017 and June 2018.
During the world tour of her fifth studio album, Witness, Perry played 80 dates which made her a profit of over $1m per night.
The ‘Swish Swish’ singer also made over $20m as a judge on American Idol.
In 2017, Beyoncé was Forbes’ highest paid woman in music, whose annual profit of $60m causing her to fall to third place on the list.
28-year-old Taylor Swift also beat Beyoncé on the financial rankings, rising from third place last year to second in 2018.
The ‘Blank Space’ singer made $80m in 2018, however some dates from her Reputation world tour are likely to count towards her 2019 rankings, alongside her recent label signing with Republic Records and Universal Music Group.
