Liam Gallagher has slammed Calvin Harris in a new interview, describing him as “the most boring fucking person“.
Gallagher spoke to Huck magazine in the lead up to his new album, As You Were, and was asked about how things have changed during his musical hiatus. In response to the claim that DJ’s have become the “new rock stars” of the music industry, Liam replied: “Did they? Not in my world, they haven’t. What, Calvin fuckin’ Harris? The most boring fucking person? Fuck off, mate… I’ll tell you what they’ve become: the new accountants!”
The former Oasis frontman was asked whether he saw himself as the greatest living rock icon. He responded: “Others have said it and I do believe they’re not fucking wrong”.
‘I think people are starting to realise what they’ve been missing. Someone who’s completely 100 per cent into it; someone who doesn’t bullshit people or stand for bullshit.”
During the interview, the ‘Wonderwall‘ singer opened up about friends who abandoned him after his divorce and his feelings to quit music following Beady Eye‘s demise. As You Were is set for release on 6th October
