Listen to George Michael’s first posthumous track ‘Fantasy’

George Michael‘s first posthumous track, ‘Fantasy‘, has been released and it features Chic‘s Nile Rodgers.

The new song comes eight months after the singer’s death, Christmas Day 2016, and features Chic’s lead guitarist Nile Rodgers. The Wham! musician had reportedly been planning the release of a new album prior to his death, aged 53, with three unreleased records in the vaults.

Fantasy‘ is a reworking of George Michael’s ’80s version of the same song which was originally meant to feature on his second album. Looking to launch a reissue of Listen Without Prejudice, the late singer enlisted the help of Rodgers to work on ‘Fantasy‘ together. Listen to the track below.

The new upbeat track is set to be released on 20th October and appear on the reissue of Listen Without Prejudice/MTV Unplugged.  To honour the release of the album reissue, Sont Music have commissioned a documentary on the singer narrated by himself.
