Listen to Geri Halliwell’s George Michael tribute single ‘Angel In Chains’

Geri Halliwell has just released ‘Angel In Chains’, a track written in tribute to the late George Michael.

The pair were close friends and earlier this year, Halliwell named her baby boy after the late singer.

George Michael passed away on 25 December 2016. He was 53. A post-mortem to investigate his cause of death came back inconclusive. It has since been revealed that he planned to release a new album in 2017.

The track, which marks the former Spice Girl’s return to music, was released on Spotify this morning – ahead of its official launch on BBC Radio 2 tomorrow. You can listen to it below.

Speaking on the single the charity single, Geri previously said: “When I first heard the sad news of his passing, I was nine months pregnant with my son Monty and I was full of emotions. I didn’t know quite what to do with my feelings so I put it in a song, which becameAngels in Chains’.”
