Laura Marling has shared a cover version of Bob Dylan‘s track ‘A Hard Rain’s a-Gonna Fall‘.
Marling’s version of the track features in the finale of the fourth season of BBC’s Peaky Blinders. Her version is soft and soothing and her voice retains a strength that echoes Dylan’s original song. Listen to ‘A Hard Rain’s a-Gonna Fall‘ below.
This is not the first time the singer has covered one of Dylan’s songs. Back in 2014, she shared a version of ‘Like A Rolling Stone‘ with Eddie Berman. Her last album, Semper Femina, was released earlier this year and was named Stereogum‘s Album of the Week in March.
Earlier this month, Iggy Pop and Jarvis Cocker released their version of Nick Cave‘s track ‘Red Right Hand’ which was used as the Peaky Blinders season four theme song. Check that out here.
