A previously unheard and unreleased Fugees track premiered over the weekend on the US radio station, Hot 97.
Fans of the 90’s hip-hop group speculated that the new track was likely signaling a return for the group with others claiming the song was their first single together since 2005’s ‘Take It Easy‘. Listen below.
Since the reveal of the track which is being coined ‘The Ish‘, both Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean have spoken on social media to squash the rumours of the bands reuniting. The two members have now confirmed the song had in fact “a old one from past studio days.”

While the trio briefly reformed between 2004 and 2006 after their split in 1997, it is unclear whether a Fugees reunion is on the horizon.
